LAKE WATCH
The Randolph County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has obtained a grant to help sponsor a Lake Watch Program with the help of Randolph County E-911 and the LWPOA Marine Radio group.
A marine radio and antenna has been installed and is now working at the E-911 building in Wedowee and is able to receive emergency calls over the Marine Radio Channel 16.
Signs are in the process of being installed at all Alabama Power boat ramps (8) that will advise boaters if they have an emergency to contact 911 by marine radio on channel 16 or call 911 by phone.
